This Privacy Policy explains how AICodeDog ("we") collects, uses, stores and protects your information when you use our service. This is a general template; the binding terms are the service agreement signed with you.

1. Information we collect

Account info: email, display name, optional workspace name.
Usage data: request metadata when you call models with API keys (timestamp, model, token usage, latency, source IP) — used for billing, rate-limiting and troubleshooting.
Payment info: top-up order amount, channel and reference number. Full payment credentials (card numbers, etc.) are held by Stripe and other payment processors; we never touch them.
Device & logs: browser UA, IP, cookie-based session identifiers.

2. Are prompts and completions logged?

By default we do not log full prompts or model responses — only metadata, used for billing and abuse detection. For debugging or compliance retention you can manually enable detailed logging in the console; toggling that switch writes to an audit log.

3. How we use your information

Provide and maintain the service (auth, routing, billing, statements).
Detect abuse: anomalous call patterns, frequency anomalies, payment fraud.
Compliance and legal obligations: respond to valid law-enforcement requests, protect our and third-party legal rights.
Product improvement and alerting: aggregated anonymous data for capacity and reliability assessment.

4. Information sharing

Except in the cases below, we do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party:

Upstream model providers (Anthropic / OpenAI / Google / xAI etc.): when you call a model, the request is forwarded as-is to that provider; please refer to their privacy policy for how they handle your content.
Payment processors (Stripe): handle top-ups and invoices.
Email providers (Resend): send verification codes, sign-in links, account notifications.
Infrastructure (cloud providers, CDN): necessary to operate the service.

5. Storage and retention

Call metadata is retained for 12 months for billing and audit verification; account information is deleted within 30 days after you actively close your account (unless legally required otherwise).
